Jenah Dawson, Neighbor

Hello! I am a student at UC Davis, graduating in March with a major in communications and a minor in writing, and am currently an intern at Davis Patch.This is my first experience with an internship, so I am very excited about this opportunity to learn and grow as a writer and a member of the Davis community.

I grew up in the town of Novato, CA in northern Marin County.  The ocean and San Francisco were a large part of my childhood, but I always had this unspeakable connection to the forest and the mountains. I hope to live there someday.

I am currently the team captain of the UCD swim team, and my fourth and final season is rapidly coming to a close.  Coaching the Davis Aquamonsters swim team is something that I also enjoy very much.  When I am not in school or hanging around the pool, a few of my favorite activities include biking, hiking, skiing, taking photos, and eating ice cream.  I am always up for a good scoop of ice cream, morning, noon, or night.
