Do you speak love?

Every teenager has their own distinct personality and it is important for parents to understand how to react to them when they might be having a meltdown, feel discouraged, or just want to feel loved. Knowing their love language will help parents respond better to the situation.

The book, The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman explains that each person receives the message of love through one of 5 love languages which are…

  1. Words of affirmation
  2. Quality time
  3. Receiving gifts
  4. Acts of service
  5. Physical touch

The key is trying to find out the love language for your teen son and then communicating your love to them in their language. One way of finding this out is if your son takes the love language survey. (If you’re interested in the survey email us at contact@teenagesons.com). You will find out what his love language is after he takes the survey.
