After months of removing brush, cleaning off trails and filling in erosion, needs only a few more touches before the this weekend.
Volunteers with white paint on Saturday for the second week in a row. However, there is some blazing that needs to be completed, according to volunteer Edward Chiucarello.
Chiucarello is also looking for anyone who would be willing to walk the trails and pick up garage. He said there are still bottles and cans in , especially near the upper pond on the sand pit side.
Councilor Timothy Moriarty is and the Park and Recreation Department staff is expected to install it before the grand opening, Chiucarello said. A sign "is in the works," he added.
"Dividend is taking on a new look and there are more exciting changes to come," Chiucarello said.
To celebrate Connecticut Trails Day, the public is invited to a grand opening ceremony for Dividend Park on June 2 at 9:30 a.m. and Chiucarello is expected to lead a at 10 a.m.
