Volunteer Care Team Needs Volunteers, Clients

A division of the Human Services Department is seeking people interested in participating in activities with home bound and elderly residents.

 

The town's Human Services Department is looking for volunteers who can help provide elderly and/or disabled residents with transportation, necessary services and companionship.

The Volunteer Care Team, which is a division of the Human Services Department, needs volunteers for scrapbooking, life histories, therapeutic games and book reviews. Volunteers are also needed to help provide transportation, food shopping assistance, friendly visitation and respite care.

Many of the elderly and/or disabled residents are homebound or chronically ill.

Any elderly and/or disabled residents who may benefit from this service are asked to contact the Human Services Department by calling Program Director Doug Ribbons at 860-258-2799 ext. 144.
