Principal John Colonghi got the chance to share his favorite childhood book with children at Wednesday afternoon.
Colonghi read "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel" by Virginia Lee Burton, which is his favorite childhood book, and "How to Clean Your Room (in 10 easy steps)" by Jennifer LaRue Huget.
"It's a nice break," Colonghi said "It gets me out of the office."
Colonghi said besides seeing the kids again, the program acts as a "motivator" for reading.
"Reading is an important part of our schools," Colonghi said. "Kids really enjoy being read to."
meets every Wednesday in the Stepney room from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. until August 10. Parents must provide lunch for their child.
