Last Chance: Rocky Hill Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner

Dinner will honor local athletes who showcased excellence on the playing field and in their daily lives.

 

We all do it. We all forget to mark our calendars for special events in our daily lives. So Patch created a weekly feature that highlights a community deadline that is quickly approaching. This week, the Last Chance column highlights the deadline for purchasing tickets for the .

Seven former Rocky Hill athletes and a championship team will receive awards for excellence in sports at a dinner next month with all the proceeds from this event going to help fund scholarships for seniors.

The following people will be inducted into the Hall of Fame:

  • Doug Elliot, Rocky Hill High School 2006 (Football and Baseball)
  • Kevin Lukas, Rocky Hill High School 2002 (Football, Basketball and Baseball)
  • Peter Roman, Rocky Hill High School 1975 (Soccer)
  • Patrick Sullivan, Rocky Hill High School1966 (Soccer)
  • Diane Zaniewski, Rocky Hill High School 2003 (Soccer)
  • Cara Pizzo, Rocky Hill High School 2012,
  • Chuck Veneziano, John J. McVicar Distinguished Service Award
  • 1979 Rocky Hill High School Boys State Championship Soccer Team

The dinner to honor the athletes will be held at the on June 2. The event will start at 5:45 p.m. with a cocktail hour and will be followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
