Cutter's Edge Salon Will Donate Days' Proceeds To Wounded Warrior Project

For the second year in a row, hair stylists at Cutters' Edge Salon will hold a Cut-A-Thon with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. 

The event is scheduled for Sunday June 23, between noon and 4 p.m. at Cutters’ Edge Salon, 2162 Silas Deane Hwy in Rocky Hill. All haircuts will be a suggested donation of $15 and all proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project.

In 2012 the staff of Cutters’ Edge Salon decided it was time give back to the community. They wanted to be involved with a charity tied to our U.S. Military service men and women. They decided to team up with The Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness and enlists public aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members’ aid and assist each other, and provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. 

"Many Connecticut families have sent loved ones overseas to wars and see them come back affected by their service to our country,” said Cutters’ Edge Stylist Elizabeth Bronson. “Support for our troops should not stop when they back come home. This is a fun and stylish way the community can come out and help."

Many other local businesses are getting involved by providing media coverage, gift certificates, raffle prizes, and excellent food for the event. 

“Last year we raised over $3,700 and this year we are hoping to surpass that mark, so come on down to a great event.” said Stylist Erika Beal. “Just like last year all haircuts are a suggested donation of $15 and all proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.”
