Second Annual Political Awareness Rally

The UConn Alternative Political Society will host its second annual Political Awareness Rally on Friday, Nov. 2 (the Friday before Election Day).

The UConn Alternative Political Society will host its second annual Political Awareness Rally on Friday, November 2 (the Friday before Election Day). The event will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on the quad behind the Student Union and is FREE.

There will be giveaways, balloons, speakers, and performances. Lots of fun, so please come!

Speakers will represent many ideologies across the political spectrum, from the libertarians to the Greens, and will include some current candidates for office.

There will also be performances by Husky Records and Poetic Release, and several others!

Confirmed speakers include Daniel Reale, Libertarian Party Candidate for U.S. House in District 2 (UConn's district), and his opponent from the Green Party, Colin Bennett, plus many more!

The schedule of events is as follows:

3:00 PM: Tabling begins on Fairfield Way
4:00 PM - 4:20 PM: Daniel Reale, Libertarian Candidate for U.S. House in District 2, including the town of Mansfield, and Chair of the Libertarian Party of Connecticut
4:20 PM - 4:40 PM: Colin Bennett, Green Party Candidate for U.S. House in District 2
4:40 PM - 5:00 PM: Keith Farrell, Northeast Regional Coordinator, Students for Liberty
5:00 PM to 5:20 PM: Charlotte Scot, surrogate for Rocky Anderson (Justice Party/Connecticut Independent Party) presidential campaign
5:20 PM to 5:40 PM: Poetic Release Performance
5:40 PM to 5:55 PM: Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Speaker will Probably be Frank Cervo
5:55 PM to 6:30 PM: Musical Performances by Guitarist Ethan Ames and rapper D.J. White
6:30 PM to 7:00 PM: Unallocated time in case speakers or performers run over their allotted time

Students for Liberty
Libertarian Party of Connecticut and its Candidates
Colin Bennett for Congress
Students for Sensible Drug Policy
