Rocky Hill Weather: 'Cooling' Trend on Tap This Week

And by "cooling," I mean it will only be about 90. But at least we'll get some rain!

Love it or hate it, the hot-and-humid Fourth of July weekend was a scorching reminder of all that we love about summer: barbecues, beaches, boats and backyard picnics.

What’s in store for us this week? According to the National Weather Service, a cooling trend is in the offing (although daytime highs will still be in the high-80s), with a chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the beginning of the week.

On Monday, there’s a 50 percent chance of heavy rain, and the rest of the week will see a mixture of sun and clouds with an ever-present chance of thunderstorms.

Good news though: While it’ll still be humid this week, it won’t be as humid as last week. And certainly not as hot. (Right?)

Here’s the long-range forecast through Wednesday from the National Weather Service:
