Rocky Hill Legion Team Wins Two Despite Rain

RCP will play the winner of the Southington/Branford state tournament game tonight.

Rain wreaked havoc over the weekend when the American Legion State Tournament was scheduled to begin at two locations, Stamford and Bristol.

The tournament is back on track but more rain could bring the whole thing to a halt.

RCP (Rocky Hill-Cromwell-Portland) started strong with an 8-1 win over Windsor Locks.

RCP split a pair of games, losing 4-3 to Montville but coming back for a 4-1 win over Orange. RCP led 3-0 going into the ninth inning but Montville scored four runs to walk off with the win. Logan Lessard took a two-hit shutout into the ninth inning but could not close out the game.
