Rocky Hill Girls Basketball Gets Home Tournament Game

Terriers will host Stonington Tuesday night at home.

 

The Rocky Hill girl's basketball team secured a home state tournament game after a very successful season.

The Terriers finished 13-7 and are the 16th seed in the Class M state tournament. They will host the 17th ranked Stonington Bears on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Rocky Hill High School.

A win in that game would push through Rocky Hill to a second round game against top seed and unbeaten Cromwell on Thursday night in Cromwell.

Rocky Hill has proven it can play with just about any team in the state as evidenced by its 61-58 overtime loss to powerhouse RHAM.

RHAM took a 20-5 lead after one quarter but Rocky Hill came back and outscored the Sachems 19-5 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. RHAM finished the season 18-2.

Rocky Hill has just two seniors on its roster: 5-foot-10 forward Emily Anderson and 5-foot-6 guard Bryanna Montalvo.
