Currently, two men from Connecticut hold the records in two age groups for the standing long jump:

  • Kaiuway Boima, of New Britain, set the Boys 11-12 record in 2004 with a jump of more than 9 feet.
  • Paul Punsal, of Orange, set the Boys 13-14 record in 1986 with a jump of more than 10 feet.

Maybe this is the year that a young man or woman from Rocky Hill sets the record for the softball throw, or possibly for one of the runs or dashes. The only limit is his or her capability.
