Ice Cream Fundraiser Expected to be a Home Run

Fundraiser will help provide equipment for the Rocky Hill High School Baseball Team.

A  will be held at  from 6-9 p.m. Friday with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Rocky Hill Baseball team. 

The event is the first by the newly formed High School Baseball Booster Club. 

The club was formed to help raise money to improve the baseball fields and dugouts and acquire special equipment like a pitching machine and screens for team, which are not covered in the school budget, High School Baseball Team Coach George McKinnon said.

“I want the kids who come into the high school every year to be proud of Rocky Hill Baseball and have the equipment and a field that they deserve,” McKinnon said.

The team has made the state tournament for the past two years and won 13 games last year for the first time in the decade, according to McKinnon.

“We feel we are headed in the right direction as a program and will need the help of a booster club and fundraisers like this to keep it going,” McKinnon said.
