Scroll down for a complete TV schedule. The women's team starts Feb. 8, while the men start Feb. 13.

By Michael Dinan

Six former Connecticut hockey players will skate for Olympic gold for both the men’s and women’s teams next month at the Sochi games.

Three members selected to each elite team have strong ties to the Nutmeg State, as outlined below.

The TV schedule for both teams was announced Thursday (detailed below — get ready to lose some sleep if you want to watch the games live): The women’s team will start on Saturday, Feb. 8, against Finland, while the men start the following Thursday, Feb. 13, against Slovakia.

The gold medal games (not out of the question for the Americans) will be held Feb. 20 for the women and Feb. 23 for the men.
