Third Graders Raise Money for Local Food Bank

As part of the read to feed program local students raise money for local food bank.

 

The third grade students raised money for . The third graders took part in the Read to Feed a March reading campaign. The students raised $1,928, third grade teachers challenged all students to take pledges for the number of books read in the month of March.

Collecting money was not a requirement for the Read to Feed program. Students decided to come together a few dollars at a time to make a difference for the community.

West Hill School has a proud tradition of academic excellence.  Serviced are approximately 650 students with 91 dedicated certified and non certified staff members.

The school provides art, music, physical education, and library media classes to all  first through fifth grade students. Instrumental lessons for the strings program are provided in grades 3-5 while band lessons are provided in grades 4 and 5.
