Walk-off home run by Erin Weber leads to Rocky Hill girls' softball team victory.

The girls' softball team battled back from a two-run deficit to defeat Bristol Eastern in dramatic fashion Friday night 3-2 in extra innings.

The Terriers were down 2-0 to the Lancers going into the bottom of the fifth inning, according to head coach Jim Ferris in an email Sunday morning.

Erika Leonard would hit a triple to score Caitlyn Bogus to cut the lead in half. In the seventh inning, Laura Dabruzzi was hit by a pitch and then advanced to second base on an error.

"With two outs, and Erika Leonard up, the Bristol Eastern pitcher was called for an illegal pitch which brought the tying run home and sent the game to extra innings," Ferris said.
