Students Needed For Planet Homework

A program being offered by the Parks and Recreation Department will help children with their homework.

 

The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for students who are interesting in getting a little extra help with their homework.

Starting Jan. 4, a new program titled "Planet Homework" will work with children in grades kindergarten to fifth on their homework and focus on the areas in which they need improving. The instructors of the program will be in contact with the students' classroom teachers to better serve the students’ needs.

The program will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. in room two at the Community Center from Jan. 4 to the end of the school year. Students can participate in the program on one or both days.

The cost of the full program is $145 for one day and $260 for two days.

The program will include snack and time for play. Transportation will be available from West Hill and Stevens elementary schools on a "first come, first serve basis."
