Stevens School Students Celebrate Earth Day

Over 500 seed packets were given to Stevens School students Thursday morning.

 

The Comstock Ferre and Company in Old Wethersfield donated over 500 seed packets to the Student Council in celebration of Earth Day.

On Thursday, the members of the council spent the morning separating the 530 seed packets into equal amounts for each classroom. There were packets of mammoth sunflowers, golden wax beans, scarlet runners, giant crego asters, and torch Mexican sunflowers.

Comstock Ferre is located at 263 Main Street in Old Wethersfield and is open Sunday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Stevens School Student Council also started a campaign to collect soda can tops for the Ronald McDonald House charity.
