Scholarship Available for High School Students Pursuing Nursing

The scholarship was created in memory of Kathleen Boudreau


The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s New Britain General campus Auxiliary is accepting applications for The Kathleen Boudreau Scholarship for high school students pursuing nursing careers.  

Application forms are available on the hospital website, http://thocc.org/services/auxiliary/scholarships.aspx; or by calling the New Britain General campus volunteer office, (860) 224-5231; or at local school high guidance offices.  

Applications are due April 22 and must be submitted to the Volunteer Services Office, The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain General campus, 100 Grand St., New Britain, CT, 06050. The recipient will be announced in May.  

The scholarship was created in memory of Kathleen Boudreau by her daughter, Marleen Boudreau Flory of St. Peter, Minn., through the New Britain General campus Auxiliary.   Kathleen Boudreau was born in Ireland in 1919, and grew up in Long Island, N.Y., before relocating to New Britain. She completed her LPN degree at Hartford Hospital and worked in New Britain convalescent homes for several years. She volunteered at New Britain General Hospital through the 1970s and ’80s.
