Rocky Hill Residents Graduate From Xavier


Xavier High School in Middletown held its 47th annual commencement on Sunday, conferring degrees to 200 young men from towns throughout Connecticut.

These young men hailed from 45 cities and towns in Connecticut.

Brother Thomas Ryan, C.F.X. once again acted as our Master of Ceremonies for the Commencement Exercises. Brother Thomas Fahey, C.F.X., Xavier’s Director of Admissions, offered the invocation and his Excellency, Bishop Michael Cote, the spiritual leader of the Norwich Diocese joined the Class of 2013, their parents, guardians, relatives, friends, special guests, teachers, counselors, and staff at Xavier High School’s forty-seventh commencement exercise. 

The Following young men from Rocky Hill graduated:

Brian Canney
Tyler Crowl
Daniel Dobler
Amar Ojha
Jake Rocamora
Charles Spellman

A special award was presented the eighteen alumni fathers of the graduating seniors. Brother Brian presented to the younger of the two graduates a ribbon on which hangs a medal of the Xavier seal. He asked the son to place the medal on the shoulders of his father. Engraved on the back of the medal are the names of both father and son as well as their years of graduation. 

One of them was: Mr. Mark S. Dobler, Class of 1981, and his son Daniel M. Dobler, Class of 2013.
