Parents, Residents Needed for Superintendent Search Focus Groups

Focus groups for elementary and secondary school parents will held on March 6 and community members can attend a superintendent search meeting on March 8.

 

Rocky Hill Public Schools and the Board of Education will be hosting during the month of March to help with the search for the new superintendent of schools.

In late November, the Dr. Jeffrey Villar as its new superintendent of schools. Mark Winzler was in Rocky Hill in January.

During the focus groups, participants will meet with Dr. Randall Collins, a consultant from . Each person will be asked to discuss the following elements:

  • Strengths of the school system
  • Challenges facing the school system
  • Skills and characteristics you are looking for in the new superintendent.

The focus group for parents at and schools and their PTOs will be held on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. The focus group for parents at and schools and their PTO’s will be held on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. A separate focus group will be held for members of the community without students in the school system on March 8 at 7 p.m.

All focus groups will be held in the Rocky Hill High School Auditorium.

Anyone who cannot attend the focus groups can complete a paper survey. The surveys can obtained at all the public schools, the , the or by downloading it off the schools’ website, www.rockyhillps.com. Surveys must be completed by Feb. 27.
