The RHHS Royal Blues Marching Band's 14th annual Home Show - September 29, 2012

The RHHS Royal Blues Marching start their season with a bang as they perform   “The Gangster Chronicle”.

           The RHHS Royal Blues Marching Band will host their 14th annual Home Show on Saturday, September 29th, at McVicar Field.  The 2012 home show is titled “The Gangster Chronicle”  and will include music from “On the  Waterfront,”  “Dick Tracey,”  “Blues Shades” & “Rockin' In Rhythm.”

  
                The Royal Blues Marching Band is under the direction of James Shuman.  There are 10 high school bands scheduled to take the field in competition with a special performance by the CCSU Marching Band.

                The gates will open at 3:00 p.m. with kickoff and the national Anthem at 3:45 p.m.  The first band will take the field at 4:00 p.m.  General admission is $10 and $5 for senior citizens and students.


                This years Royal Blues Marching Band is led by Drum Major; Brett Kennedy.  The Band’s section leaders are:  Evan Horn, woodwinds; Evan Choquette, brass; Emily Kovanda, color guard and Chris Cerpa, percussion.  Band Captains are Peter Kohanski & Larissa Denisky and principal players are Peter Kohanski & Amanda Coler.

                Members of the Class of 2013 in the band are: Greg Castater, Chris Cerpa, Ellie Charamut, Evan Choquette, Chris Cote, Stephen Gopaul, Evan Horn, Brett Kennedy & Kylie Pirre.

The Royal Blues will also perform “The Gangster Chronicles” in competition on October 13th at Cheshire High School’s Home Show and October 20th at Rockville High School’s Home Show.  In addition to these performances the Royal Blues will also compete at the USBands Championships in Bridgeport, CT on November 11th.
