Car Wash To Help Rocky Hill Chef's Recovery

Event will benefit John Doyle, who is the chef at Mangia Bene, and recently suffered a stroke.

 

The Rocky Hill community is coming together to help pay for the medical bills of a well-known local chef and coach.

A car wash will be held for Rocky Hill resident, John Doyle, who recently suffered a stroke and is recovering from the illness. Doyle is the chef at , a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, husband and father of two.

The volunteers are needed to help:

  • Wash cars
  • Hold signs to advertise
  • Collect donations
  • Make the signs

The event is at on Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The price is $5. The is assisting with the event.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to send an email to Dawn Boyle at dmboyle16@gmail.com. Volunteers are asked to indicate what time that they want to work the car wash.

"Pass the word to all your friends and neighbors to come on down to have their car(s) cleaned by John's amazing Rocky Hill friends," said Ellen M. Risley.

A was held for Doyle at in July with the proceeds going toward his recovery.
