Boys' Indoor Track Team Finishes Seventh at State Open Championships

The girls' basketball team will play Lewis Mills at Rocky Hill High School on Friday at 7 p.m. Emily Anderson was named to the CCC East All League team for the second year in a row.

Boys' hockey team has a game against East Catholic at the Champions Skating Center on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Wrestling team will compete in State Open at Floyd Little Athletic Center on Friday.

Results:

Boys' basketball team defeated RHAM, 66-53, at Rocky Hill High School on Monday and with the win qualified for the Class M Tournament. Kenechi Nezianya had 17points and 20 boards. Christian Foxen played well and Christopher Stoneburner had 12 points, according to head coach Pete Asadourian. "All the guys had a solid performance," he said. "They did what they had to do to win the game." The Terriers defeated Rockville, 64-56, at Rocky Hill High School on Feb. 14 and lost to Bristol Central, 58-44, at Rocky Hill High School on Feb. 17. 

Boys' hockey team lost back-to-back games to Newington-Berlin, 6-2, on Feb. 15 and 4-2 on Feb. 18.

Boys' swimming team defeated Bulkeley at Bulkeley High School Pool on Feb. 14 and lost to E.O. Smith/Tolland, 94-82, at Rocky Hill High School on Feb. 16.

Wrestling team competed and finished 28 in the Class S Tournament at Haddam Killingworth High School on Feb 17 and 18. Chris Young finished second in the 170 lb. division. For the complete results, click the following link. "I am happy with him," said head coach Charles Surney. "We did well."

Boys' indoor track team finished tied for seventh at the State Open Championships at the New Haven Athletic center on Feb. 18. Joe Crafa of Rocky Hill was one of only two people who finished the 1600m run under the 4:20 mark. His time was 4:17.16, according to mysportsresults.com.
