The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning from late Friday night through Saturday morning for Rocky Hill.
Saturday morning could bring widespread frost, the NWS says. Temperatures could drop low enough to kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, the NWS says. Now is the time to get out there and bring in your houseplants — or make yourself a note to do so as soon as you arrive home.
Underground root vegetables should be safe, as should hearty mums.
The extended forecast for Rocky Hill is as follows:
Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 2 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 53.
Saturday: Widespread frost, mainly before 9 a.m. Otherwise, sunny with a high near 53.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers before 2 p.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a high near 67.
