See Dinosaurs For Free Saturday

The Rocky Hill museum and trails will be open to the public for no charge as part of a statewide event.

 

Connecticut residents will be able to get free admission to Saturday as part of eighth .

The is one of the 12 state park museums and historic sites where admission will be free on Saturday. The Rocky Hill landmark will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"Free admission to state park museums and historic sites will enable everyone to enjoy Connecticut’s state parks this upcoming Saturday," said DEEP Commissioner Daniel C. Esty in a press release. "Visiting these special places will form memories your families and friends will never forget."

Discovered in 1966 and opened to the public two years later, Dinosaur State Park is one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America. The park and museum were built after the discovery of 2,000 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints. More than 50,000 people visit the park each year.
