Rocky Hill residents who need salt or sand to help melt snow or clear driveways or sidewalks can get some from the Town Garage on Walnut Street starting as soon as roads are passable on Saturday morning.
The Town Hall closed on Friday at 11 a.m. due to the storm. Residents are asked to stay off the roads for the duration of the storm. In the event of a power outage the shelter will open after the storm, because of the danger of travel. The Code Red system will send a notification when the shelter is open. The VA Home is not open to residents during this storm.
Residents are reminded to keep hydrants shoveled and clear. Do not park in the roadways. Sidewalks must be cleared of snow within 24 hours following a storm.
