Rocky Hill Receives About $200,000 For Hurricane Relief

FEMA Funding for Snowstorm Alfred is still pending.

 

Months after the winds and rain from caused damage to Rocky Hill, the federal government is reimbursing the town about $200,000 to help offset the .

Manager Barbara Gilbert informed the council Monday night that Rocky Hill will be receiving a grant from Federal Emergency Management Agency totaling $192,801 for costs associated with the August storm. There are two components to the FEMA grant with the amount with one part being $75,460 and the other being $117,341. The funding will be added to the general fund.

FEMA is currently reviewing the grant proposal from Snowstorm Alfred and the reimbursement from that storm is still pending, according to Gilbert.
