Rocky Hill Company Installing Solar Panels at Glastonbury Town Hall

Rocky Hill-based SolarCity is installing solar panels at Glastonbury government buildings.

Crews from SolarCity, a Rocky Hill-based solar panel firm, began installing an array of solar panels behind town hall in Glastonbury last week.

The firm will install and operate the panel arrays and is financing the installation project with grants and energy credits. SolarCity is installing the panels behind Glastonbury’s town hall; energy from the panels will help Glastonbury power the town hall and Academy School complex.

Glastonbury will purchase power from SolarCity, and the firm will sell the excess electricity generated by the panels to Connecticut Light & Power.
