Planning and Zoning Commission Will Remain at Five Members for Rest of the Year

Commission members tried to stop Anthony DiLorenzo from resigning.

The Planning and Zoning Commission held its first meeting without as chairman Wednesday night.

The commission is down to five members after DiLorenzo's resignation for "family reasons” and will remain that way until the Town Council makes appointments after the first of the year.

"We lost some members due to elections and a resignation," said Barry Goldberg.

was elected to the Zoning Board of Appeals and was elected to the Town Council.

Goldberg added that commission members tried to stop DiLorenzo from resigning.

"We felt he was a great chairman. And with his demeanor, everyone got a fair hearing and we were able to make some good decisions."

Goldberg is now the chairman of the commission and Ronald Angelo is the vice-chairman and secretary. Henry Vasel, Victor Zarrilli and Peter Arico round out the board.
