Need a Flu Shot?

Haven’t received your flu shot yet? If you or your family have not been immunized for seasonal flu, now is the optimal time to do so. Convenient for families and working people, the Central Connecticut Health District (CCHD) will hold a flu vaccination clinic from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 10th, at Wethersfield Town Hall, 505 Silas Deane Highway.

Seasonal flu vaccination is now recommended for everyone age 6 months and older. The flu vaccine protects people from the three strains of influenza that are likely to be circulating this flu season. Flu strains change regularly, so it is important to get a new flu shot every year.

The Health District offers three types of vaccination: nasal spray vaccine (available to any healthy person age 4 through 49), injectable and preservative-free injectable.
