The Highway Department and crews have already finished two rounds of brush pickup. The town crews are expected to do one more round of brush pickup, but no date has been set.

"The brush that is coming out now is not brush from the storm," Town Manager Barbara Gilbert told the Town Council. "It is brush from people trimming things and other things of that nature."

The crews will also make another pickup of leaves as well, Gilbert stated.

She is hoping to have everything picked up by Dec. 16 and all the debris from Snowstorm Alfred by Friday, weather permitting.

"We are going to continue working," Gilbert said.

The Highway Department is not expected to work any more overtime after Friday, unless it snows, she added.

Federal Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, also visited Rocky Hill on Monday. The agency looked at the town's debris pile, which was on its second grinding.

"We grinded it up finer, so that we will have a large mulch pile for everyone to use," Gilbert said.
