Traffic on the Route 3 corridor is in the next 20 years, according to a traffic study given by Tighe & Bond to the town in late June. The purpose of the study is to ensure safety for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists, address any short and long term deficiencies and make recommendations on alternative solutions to the problems.

"We know that the increased volume in the Route 3 traffic over the last decade shows that Rocky Hill is an increasing vibrant community for both businesses and residents," said President Ric Valliere. "However, traffic flow in this corridor is an important issue to address to make life here continuing to flow smoothly."

According to Valliere, the event is a chance for business owners "to express what would make most sense for their businesses."

"We applaud town officials for tackling this issue, and this event is our way to assist and encourage the business community to come and speak their minds about what is important to them," he said.

The event is open to business owners and residents. Following the presentation, audience members will be able to ask questions and express their concerns with the project.
