Chairman Resigns From Planning and Zoning Commission

DiLorenzo chose to resign from the Planning and Zoning Commission because of growing family responsibilities.

Anthony DiLorenzo has stepped down from his position as chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission effective immediately.

DiLorenzo gave a letter of resignation to the Democratic Town Committee at their meeting on Nov. 10. The letter was forwarded to Town Clerk Ron McNamara, who keeps the records for the town, and then, to Town Manager Barbara Gilbert, who makes the agendas. The letter of resignation has been added to the Town Council agenda where it will be acted upon at their next meeting on Nov. 21.

DiLorenzo told Patch that his responsibility to his family has increased recently and he needed to be available more. He added that he promised his wife that he would step down last term.
