BOE Approves Renovation Plan for Schools

The $69 million plan would have to go to referendum.

The Board of Education recently unanimously approved a facilities plan that would make changes to the town’s schools.

The new plan calls for the existing Moser Elementary School building to be knocked down and a new school built in its place, the schools Director of Finance Chuck Zettergren said.

In the facilities plan, the high school would be renovated, West Hill Elementary School would receive a technology upgrade and Stevens Elementary School would be completely knocked down, expect for the gymnasium. The stand-alone gymnasium would be left at the site with additional athletic fields, Zettergren said.
