Police: Rocky Hill Man Hospitalized After Fight

Both people involved in the fight were arrested, according to state police.

 

A man from Rocky Hill was taken to an area hospital after a fight between himself and a Higganum man Thursday night, police said.

The Connecticut State Police were called to 114 Brault Hill Rd. in Higganum for a reported disturbance just before 6:30 p.m.

Robert Gleason, 46, of 144 Brault Hill Rd. in Higganum got into a fight with Kerry Sheltra, 43, of 61 Pratt St. in Rocky Hill, according to police. Sheltra suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Middlesex Hospital.

Gleason and Sheltra were both charged with disorderly conduct. Gleason was also charged with third-degree assault.

Sheltra and Gleason were released on $1,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Middletown on April 19.
