A Rocky Hill man is facing time in court after police say he allegedly refused to leave 80 Merritt Blvd. in Trumbull last month after they responded to a crisis hotline call.
On Sept. 14, officers with the Trumbull Police Department responded to a crisis hotline call that a veteran had a gun and went to 80 Merritt Boulevard after a reverse search using the caller's phone number, police said. But there was an error in the phone number and police were under the impression that the address was in Stratford, where police there responded.
Meanwhile, Scott Parracino, 48, of Rocky Hill, was in 80 Merritt Blvd. and refused to come out. The Trumbull Police Emergency Response Team was called because of the nature of the original call, police said.
He was charged with interfering with police and held in lieu of $1,500 bond. He was later released from custody on a promise to appear after being arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court. He is due back in court on Oct. 23.
