Police Investigating Man's Body Found in Elm Ridge Park

Rocky Hill police are working with the state medical examiners office to identify the man. Police consider the death suspicious but say that the public is safe.

Updated story as of 9:30 a.m.:

A man walking his dog along a trail at Elm Ridge Park made a disturbing discovery Tuesday afternoon when they found the body of a deceased man near the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, according to the Rocky Hill Police Department.

Police say the incident is considered suspicious, but “there is no reason to believe that the public has any reason to be concerned for their safety at or around the park.”

The body was that of an adult male, and was discovered at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Members of the Rocky Hill Police Department Detective Division are investigating the incident, and the process of identifying the body is underway, police said.

According to CBS Connecticut, Rocky Hill police do not believe the public should be concerned for their safety.

According to the Hartford Courant, the body is that of an adult male and it was discovered at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
