House Fire Sends One Person To Hospital

The family was displaced after a fire caused moderate smoke and fire damage to their home.

A family was displaced and one person was taken to the hospital after a Tuesday night house fire on Main Street.

Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 2614 Main St. just after 7:30 p.m., Fire Capt. Henry Vasel said. Upon arrival, firefighters found the family outside the house, which also had an in-law apartment, Vasel added.

One member of the family had to be taken to an area hospital for an unknown medical condition, Vasel said. The family member's condition is unknown at this time.

The family will be displaced for sometime, Vasel said. Home suffered moderate smoke and fire damage, Vasel stated.

The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes, Vasel said. All three fire stations responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
