[Update] Girls' Soccer Coach Placed on Administrative Leave

The school superintendent is not releasing details of the action.

No arrests have been made in the incident, according to the Rocky Hill Police Department. Police could not comment any further on the investigation.

Bill Pacelia, girls’ soccer head coach, was placed on administrative leave Nov. 3, following allegations of "misconduct," according to Superintendent of Schools Jeffrey A. Villar.

Villar could not say when or where the incident occurred. However, he did say that the Rocky Hill Police Department and the state's Department of Children and Family Services have been notified and are conducting investigations. The school system is conducting its own investigation.

The Rocky Hill girls’ soccer team finished the year 12-3-4 and lost to Nonnewaug 3-1 in the Quarterfinals of the Class M tournament on Nov. 15. Pacelia did not coach the team during the playoffs.
