UPDATE, Midnight: The shooter was found dead in his apartment but the cause of death was not announced, NBC Connecticut reported Friday.
UPDATE: 10:40 p.m. The incident began at 8:30 p.m. at the Westage Condominiums on Carillon Road when a man shot a young woman twice in the stomach. No motive is known for the shooting at this time, Fox CT reported.
The shooter is believed to be armed and barricaded in his condominium and police and SWAT are treating him as such, Fox CT reported. Police surrounded the condominum and SWAT teams have come from Manchester, Glastonbury and as far away as Enfield, the TV station reported. Neighbors were told to stay inside.

According to Fox CT, a man has shot a woman twice in the stomach and has barricaded himself in his apartment at the Westage Condominiums on Carillon Road.
The woman was reportedly taken to a local hospital but witnesses were not sure which one.
SWAT teams from across the state have converged on the location where the man is inside and apparently has at least one weapon if not more.
