Original Story

State police spent late Monday night and early Tuesday morning investigating an accident that closed I-91 between exits 23 and 24 in Rocky Hill.

According to the Department of Transportation, a tractor trailer and another motor vehicle collided on the highway just before 9:30 p.m. One person was believed to have been ejected from one of the vehicles

The accident closed all four lanes on that portion of the highway to be closed, according to the DOT. In Rocky Hill, police officers were preventing drivers from entering the highway at exits 23 and 24. Highway signs on I-91 advised drivers to find alternate routes of travel.

State police are still trying to find the vehicle operator. However, there is no word on the extent of the injures.
