Open House at The Joint Apprentice Training Center in Rocky Hill

Rocky Hill, CT (October 11, 2013) - On Monday, October 14th, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Joint Apprentice Training Center (JATC) in Rocky Hill, Connecticut will be holding an open house event, called “Discover SMART Experience”. This event is part of the 125th anniversary celebration of the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers.

Across North America and Puerto Rico, 160 JATCs will open their doors to the public. The open houses will showcase cutting edge training, skills and knowledge that have placed the unionized sheet and metal industry at the forefront of the building and construction industry. At the local JATC in Rocky Hill, there will be opportunities for the public to tour the facilities, speak one-on-one with instructors, learn about the unionized sheet and metal industry, accredited training programs, and to learn about career opportunities for graduates. Additionally, JATC coordinators will be available to discuss recent affiliations with local colleges, trade schools, vendors and employers seeking highly skilled workers.
