You Ready For a Throwdown
The 2012 Sangria Throwdown will "feature several participants competing to prepare the best sangria" with all the proceeds from the event going to Connecticut Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis, according to a release from the organization.
The concept for a Sangria throwdown came about two years ago when Karen Guarnaccia, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, and her husband Dennis were hosting a cookout. When a challenge was made on who could produce the best Sangria. Word spread quickly about the challenge, so Karen decided that the throwdown would work great as a fundraiser for the Connecticut Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis.
