Rocky Hill Referendum Pamphlet

Rocky Hill residents will be noticing something in their mailboxes this week. It is information on the upcoming that was sent out by the town late last week.

The pamphlet explains the improvements that would be funded by the project if the referendum passes. The information states that "the scope of the project will ensure the following:"

  • All NEASC concerns will be addressed
  • Building will meet modern standards for ADA complaint
  • HVAC system will be made more energy efficient
  • Structure will meet or exceed Connecticut High Performance Building requirements

The pamphlet also explains the issue of the NEASC accreditation. The was awarded continued accreditation, but in late March.

The location of polling places was also among the topics covered in the pamphlet, which was reviewed by several organizations for legal reasons before being sent out to residents, according to town officials.

Honors Society Concert

The Tri M Music Honors Society is sponsoring its annual community concert, which will feature artists young and old.

The concert will be at 6 p.m. inside the Rocky Hill High School Auditorium. The event is free to the public.

The first portion of the concert will feature solo artists and following an intermission, bands such as 14 Years and Famous and the Off the Trolley will take to the stage. The headliner for the concert is

Quilting Club

Anyone looking to learn about quilting, work on some more experienced projects or just to socialize, the has a group for you.

The meet throughout the year from 9 a.m. to noon at the church. However group attendance could be low this week, due to the , according to church officials.

Participants are asked to bring in their own needlework with them.

Paranormal Day
