The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high near 89 and a low around 66. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph during the day.

Dog Licenses Required By July 1

The Rocky Hill Town Clerk's office is reminding people that it is time to license your dogs.

Applications for dog licenses are available at the Town Clerk's office. According to a release from the town, it is suggested that the application is made by mail. 

 The fees are as follows:

  • Male or Female dog - $19
  • Neutered male or spayed female dog - $8

New licenses must be procured on or before June 30, or a penalty will be collected pursuant to Connecticut general statutes.

All dogs six months or over must be licensed and wear collar and tag at all times, the release said. If not the dog is not wearing a tag, it is presumed to be unlicensed and is not protected by law, which means the owner is liable by prosecution.

If application is made by mail, check must be made payable to the Rocky Hill Town Clerk enclosed in a self-addressed stamped envelope. The letter must be sent to the following address:

Chamber Golf Tournament

Members of the and small business owners will hit links to raise money for Rocky Hill students.

The annual will be held at Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield Thursday morning. The proceeds from the tournament will be used toward scholarships for seniors.

About 80 golfers are expected to attend the tournament this year.

Historical Society Opens For Summer Nights

If Rocky Hill residents are interested in learning about the town's history, they can stop by the once a month on Thursday nights.

The Rocky Hill Historical Society will be on the fourth Thursday of each month during the summer from 7 to 9 p.m. The first night of the summer program is tonight.

Each night, the society will offer a special program for residents, however at this time, no events have been announced. Stay tuned for updates.

Concerts Rock Veterans Memorial Amphitheater Tonight

The kicks off tonight with a motown, funk and blues band performing covers of Rocky Hill residents' favorites.

All the concerts, which are sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, will be held on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the  in back of .

There is ample parking at the venue and all the concerts are free of charge. Food will be available for purchase at 6:30 p.m.
