West Hill School Election Bake Sale
The not only helped get the renovated, but it was also beneficial to one PTO.
From 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, parents said the bake sale at the saw a "steady flow" of customers. Organizers had two tables full of goodies and all were gone by 8 p.m.
All the proceeds from the event will go to help with school functions and possibly toward purchasing a new SMART Board.
"We were pleasantly surprised," said parent Kamimay Mayette about the bake sale.

Gathering Place
will be holding its monthly breakfast at Friday from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
Local business owners and Chamber of Commerce members gather the third Friday of every month at a local business to network, eat breakfast and discuss topics affecting small businesses.
Refreshments will be provided.

Waste Collection Volunteers Needed
The is looking for volunteers to work at the at the in August.
The collection is on Aug. 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All volunteers, who will receive a free MDC T-shirt and a free lunch, are asked to arrive by 7:45 a.m.

Yo-Yos Tricks For Seniors
Seniors will get the chance to learn yo-yo tricks from an expert.
Eric Girardi, of Bending Gravity Entertainment, will of his own unique yo-yo tricks at on Saturday at 2 p.m.
"Mr. Girardi’s objective is to provide a one-of-a-kind performance of object manipulation choreographed to music," according to of The Lodge at Cold Spring.
