Dividend Park Officially Opens
After months of cleaning up and preparing, a grand opening ceremony will be held for Dividend Park on Saturday morning to celebrate Connecticut Trail Day.
Participants should meet at the parking lot on Old Forge Road around 9:30 a.m. for a brief ceremony.
The ceremony will be following by a three-mile hike where hikers will get the chance to see hollow, an old dam, a waterfall, and the lower and upper ponds.
"We’ll take in a scenic view of the Connecticut River Valley and see where corn, saw and grist mills once comprised Connecticut’s fist industrial villages," said the release by the Parks and Recreation Department.
If there are heavy rains, the walk will be canceled and the ceremony will be held Sunday at noon. For more information call the Parks and Recreation Department at 860-258-2772.

Car Show
Eastern Chapter Over The Hill Gang Car Club will be hosting its on Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at
The price of admission for show cars is $10 and spectators are free.
There will be dash plaques to the first 100 show entries and awards will be given to the top 20 cars. A Mayor's Trophy will be given to the best car at the show.
There will be a raffle, refreshments and activities for children.
National Doughnut Day
What a way to start the weekend. The first Friday in June is National Doughnut Day and Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme are offering deals in honor of the day.
Participating Dunkin’ Donuts shops nationwide will offer guests a free donut of their choice, while supplies last, with the purchase of any beverage, according to an announcement on the Dunkin' Donuts website.
There are no Krispy Kreme stores in Rocky Hill, however all three Dunkin Donuts locations are participating in the promotion. Those Dunkin Donuts are located at , and
Musical Instrument Donation Drive
Are you trying to get rid of any old musical instruments and receive a deductible on your taxes?
This Saturday, the Rocky Hill Public Schools will be hosting a at the (back entrance) from noon to 2 p.m.
Donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes in the mail.
