Chamber's Mission: Driving Commerce

Executive Director Paul Carr discusses the driving force of the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce.

Our mission states that we strive to be the voice for business issues in Rocky Hill. And that is precisely what we do. Hence our newly created tag line: “ – We Drive Commerce”.

Our advocacy committee is our liaison with the town government. The membership committee is charged with attracting new businesses and individuals into the chamber.

Our education committee administers our annual scholarship grants that we award to selected high school seniors and assists in grooming new business people through our internship program. The fundraising committee runs the programs that fund those scholarship grants.

We encourage our members' participation in our committee activities.

In addition to our successful “Business After Hours” program, we have established a new networking program known as (TGP), which gives members a chance to network with other local businesses.

TGP meets on the third Friday of each month at 7:30 a.m. Meetings are held at the . Our agenda includes informal networking followed by one-minute infomercials by all present about their company’s product or service.

Each meeting includes a featured speaker presenting a discussion of issues of concern to our community. There is a $10 charge to cover the cost of breakfast, coffee, juice, etc.
