Tackle the Tower!

Looking for a new fitness challenge, check out Tackle the Tower and help to change lives!

What are you doing on Saturday, March 30, 2012?  Save the date!  Join my team as we Tackle the Tower (at Hartford 21) in Hartford for the American Lung Association. This is a fun, high energy and rewarding fundraiser bringing awareness to save lives by improving lung health.

The challenge, stair climbing, 34 floors, 688 stairs to be exact, all which can be completed in under ten-minutes!

I participated in this special event for the first time last March and dedicated my climb to a special yoga client who passed away from lung cancer.  I was so impressed that I’ve assumed the Team Captain role (Glastonbury Stair Climbers). This upcoming climb is dedicated to my mother-in-law who recently passed away of lung issues (see tribute: http://corepower.wordpress.com/).

If you want to ring in the new year with a fitness challenge or you have been touched by someone who has been affected with lung disease or cancer, think about participating in this event. If you are physical fit, your stair climbing effort will be easier, if you practice yoga, stair climbing is like a moving meditation, if you are athletic and you want a more challenging climb, you can run the stairs!  This well organized worthwhile event has so much to offer everyone!

This climb will leave you feeling proud you’ve helped others, humbled that you were able to complete the climb and so grateful for your health!  You can’t put a price tag on all of that!

Oh, by the way, you do not have to climb back down, a big friendly elevator awaits your arrival to assist you in your descent!  Goodies available after the climb!
